Test what you want to know about, on your own schedule

Some people want more insight into their health than a rushed annual visit provides: a baseline before making changes, a check on how a routine is working, or simply their own numbers to hold onto. Carebridge Health Panels let you choose the tests you want, grouped by the part of the body you care about, from a full-body baseline to a focused look at your heart, kidneys, liver, blood sugar, or hormones.

This is a private, self-pay service, separate from the public system: you are not waiting on a symptom-based referral, and you are paying for the testing yourself. It is done properly, though. Every panel is authorized by a licensed prescriber before you are tested, the sample is drawn at our partner laboratory, and a pharmacist can help you understand what your results mean and what to do next. Results that need attention are flagged for follow-up.

Four simple steps

How private lab testing works at Carebridge

This is a private, paid service. You pay a professional fee for the prescriber to review and authorize your requisition, and the laboratory's fee for the tests themselves. We are transparent about both before you commit.

1

Build your panel

Choose the tests you want by body system, from a full-body baseline to a single focus area, and send your request.

2

Prescriber authorizes

A licensed physician or nurse practitioner reviews your request and, where appropriate, signs the lab requisition. This professional review is the fee you pay us.

3

Test at our partner lab

Take your requisition to our partner laboratory for the blood draw and analysis. You pay the lab's fee for the tests.

4

Results and review

Your results come back for you to keep. A pharmacist can walk you through them, and anything needing medical attention is flagged for follow-up.

Authorization of any requisition is at the discretion of the licensed prescriber; requesting a panel does not guarantee it will be authorized. Private lab testing is a paid service and is not billed to MSP. A dedicated online panel builder and requisition request is [status to confirm].

Prices shown are sample placeholders only and will be finalized with our partner laboratory and the authorizing prescribers; a professional fee for prescriber authorization of your requisition is additional and confirmed before you commit. Lab testing gives information, not a diagnosis; results should be interpreted with a healthcare professional. This service does not replace care from your family doctor.

Build your panel on a full-body map.

We are building an interactive panel builder: tap the part of the body you want to check on a full-body map, add the tests that interest you, and send your request for prescriber authorization in a few taps. It connects back to Carebridge for the requisition, the partner lab, and pharmacist review. Ask us to be notified when it launches.

Specialized therapies

Working with a specialist prescriber

Some therapies sit outside routine primary care and are managed by prescribers with specific experience in them. Where a therapy requires that kind of specialist oversight, and where it is clinically appropriate and lawfully prescribed, Carebridge can refer you to a practitioner experienced in that area and dispense or compound what they prescribe. We do not market these therapies or make claims about them; our role is to connect you with the right prescriber and to fill the prescription accurately.

A note on testing responsibly

Lab testing provides information, not a diagnosis, and results are best understood with a healthcare professional who knows your history. Private testing is not a substitute for regular care with your family doctor, and it can occasionally produce findings that cause worry without changing what should be done. Every panel here is authorized by a licensed prescriber, and results that suggest a health concern are flagged so you can follow up appropriately. If you have symptoms that worry you, please see a physician rather than relying on a self-directed panel.

Private lab testing, answered

Can I just order any blood test I want?

You choose the tests you are interested in, but a licensed prescriber reviews your request and authorizes the requisition. That professional review is required for lab testing and is part of what keeps it safe. In most cases common wellness panels can be authorized; the prescriber may adjust or decline tests that are not appropriate.

Is this covered by MSP?

No. This is a private, self-pay service, separate from the public system. You pay a professional fee for the prescriber to review and authorize your requisition, and the laboratory's fee for the tests. We tell you both costs before you commit. If a test is medically necessary, your family doctor may be able to order it through the public system instead.

Where do I get the blood drawn?

At our partner laboratory, using the requisition we provide. You book your visit with the lab, have the sample taken, and your results are returned to you, with a pharmacist available to help you understand them.

Can you help me understand my results?

Yes. A Carebridge pharmacist can review your results with you in plain language, explain what the markers mean, and suggest next steps, including seeing a physician when that is the right move. Results that need medical attention are flagged for follow-up.

Will testing lead to treatment?

Sometimes. If your results point to something a prescriber can act on, treatment may follow, and Carebridge can compound or dispense what is prescribed. But testing is not a sales funnel: many results simply give you a useful baseline, and no treatment is needed.

Do you handle specialized therapies like growth hormone?

Only through appropriate specialist care. Therapies that require a prescriber with specific experience are handled by referral: where it is clinically appropriate and lawfully prescribed, we can connect you with an experienced practitioner and fill the prescription. We do not market or make claims about these therapies.
